Yahoo use Spamcop to block their own emails?

Couple days ago, one of my employee reported that she got a Failure Notice report when trying to send email from her Yahoo’s mail to our website email. Our website email hosted at Hostgator.
Then I tried to do the same by sending email from my own Yahoo, and here’s the Failure Notice report that I got:

Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address.

:
Remote host said: 550 http://www.spamcop.net/w3m?action=checkblock&ip=115.178.12.226″ [RCPT_TO]

It’s blocked by Spamcop. Spamcop is the antispam software used by Yahoo. Unfortunately, they keep having an issue where Yahoo’s own IP addresses and will prevent them from sending to certain domains.
Hostgator actually does not use any general anti-spam software across its servers. Individual servers and users are generally responsible for their own spam protection. There are built-in options, SpamAssassin and BoxcTrapper, but Hostgator do not offer SpamCop.

Hope this problem can be fixed as soon as possible as I have asked Hostgator staff to follow up this problem by contacting Yahoo.

Cirtex Hosting Sucks, Why?

I have some websites hosted with Cirtexhosting, and yes.. some are big sites, and been hosted with Cirtex Hosting for about 3 years. Overall, I can tolerate their short downtime, cpanel trouble, htaccess missing and some minor hosting trouble that caused by their server hosting performance.

But today, I can’t handle it anymore, one of my website about Free Software been down about 7 hours now. All of my sites that hosted on Cirtexhoting are down now! Those website hosted on their “cherry server,” and they’ve announce their costumers about this.

The cherry.cirtexhosting.com server is being worked and Apache is down as of now. Our admin is working in it and the server is expected to be online ASAP. Thanks for your co-operation.

For 7 hours and still down? Gosh…

I tried to chat to their online costumer service, but he just ask me to be patient. I was also asking about compensation for me to this server failure, and he said that he will talk to their server admin about that.
Hope I could get my compensation and I could update this post in future. Cirtex Hosting sucks? Let’s hope not!

Today when I tried to open my favorite domain name registrant Name.com, I found error statement :
“Name.com is currently experiencing connectivity issues with various registries. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Please try again later or contact us at support@name.com.”

I believe that Name.com been attacked and injected by virus/trojan that could harm your computer. Yesterday I got an alert from my Norton Antivirus :

3. Always order a domain name and choose webhosting from different company, so when I decide to move my account, as It’ll not affect one another.

4. As many search engine going locally, you might need a webhosting that serve near your targeted visitors. So if your targeted visitors are from Europe, then do not hosting from Asia

5. Choose a webhosting that has a 24 hours phone support, a support-chat-assistance (or something like that) that not displays ’support chat unavailabe, leave message’ all the time

6. Nowadays each webhosting seems to have a support forums, register to their forums before you decide to host, and ask some about their server setting, php version, mysql server version, statistic, or a topic like redirection or rewriting. And ask yourself, are you satisfied enough with their answer, because a support will more likely the first place to ask regarding your trouble in hosting & server configuration
