July 25, 2008

underwater-camera-90.jpgPlease listen to me when I say that even waterproof cameras cannot withstand underwater photography. Be sure to check your underwater digital camera’s viewfinder to check the right picture angle and size that you want. Like me, you are just some photo junkie who wants to capture underwater moments and just cant figure out how without ruining your cameras. These casing will turn your conventional digital camera into an underwater digital camera. And when I say anywhere, I mean that memories are even created underwater – so the creation of underwater digital camera. But I think it is safe to assume that you, my reader, are neither a marine scientist nor a professional photographer.Check out Sony, Nikon and Canon’s website for available underwater cases for your digital cameras. Also, remember to always wash of salt when you’ve used it under salt water.Memories are created just about anywhere.Silica gel will keep the moisture from forming inside your camera case. Make sure that no grain of sand or piece of hair is stuck in between the seal to make sure that water will not permeate the case and thus wet your camera in the process. Macro lenses will help you capture small things without getting too close and startling your subject. In cases when sands seem to get into the case, they are better washed off with streams of water. Before using your underwater digital camera, submerge the camera in the water first for several seconds then check if there are leaks through the case. [Read more]

Invalid Clicks on Adsense, What To Do?

May 29, 2008

Picture of Invalid Clicks on AdsenseHave you ever clicked your own adsense ads on your own website? I think I’ve made it too. Couple days when I try edit one of our website, accidently I clicked the adsense ads on one of my page.
Actually I’m not sure that I’ve made the click but the Adsense Tracker script that installed on that page reported there’s 1 click happened from the page.

And off course I woried about the status of my adsense account regarding the invalid click, and then I emailed Google Adsense Team. I gave them my Adsense Tracker report. On the report written the time the click happen, the IP address and kind of browser used.
And check what Google Team wrote me for the reply:

==================================================================
Thanks for letting us know about the clicks on your ads. We appreciate your honesty and your continued efforts toward avoiding such clicks going forward. I can confirm that your account is currently active and in good standing.

To help you on your way, we offer the AdSense Preview Tool which will allow you to check the destination of ads on your page without the risk of invalid clicks. For more information, please see: https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/topic.py?topic=160

For additional questions, I’d encourage you to visit the AdSense Help Center (http://www.google.com/adsense_help), our complete resource center for all AdSense topics. Alternatively, feel free to post your question on the forum just for AdSense publishers: the AdSense Help Group (http://groups.google.com/group/adsense-help).
==================================================================

Thanks God, they understand and keep monitoring the situation, that’s what we need to make us more comfort on partnering with Google Adsense.

I know there are some Adsense publisher out there that banned (as I read on some webmaster forum) and didn’t know why they’re banned. I think before you going too far with this Adsense invalid click, you must prepare yourself and also keep monitoring your own account.
Open your Adsense account and see for the clicks generated on the report, if there’s a suspicious activity on it, feel free to email the Adsense team.
You can also install adsense tracker script on your page, I know there are many kind of this script sold out there. It could help you to monitoring the clicks and hopefully, could avoid your adsense for being banned by Google.
Always email Adsense team, they will be happy to guide you for the rest.

How to Make Money from Expired Domain?

May 27, 2008

Picture of expired domain with PRWhen I started to sell expired domain with Pagerank, I feel that I’m going to make few bucks. But when I tried to promote it to Digitalpoint Forum, some people asked me about the purpose of those expired domain with Pagerank. And I think I’ll try to answer that question here.

Expired domain with Pagerank is domains that will expired in some fashioned time and you are lucky if those domain having a Pagerank on it. I’m sure that you already know about Pagerank (PR). According to Wikipedia, Pagerank is a link analysis algorithm that assigns a numerical weighting to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents, such as the World Wide Web, with the purpose of “measuring” its relative importance within the set, Sounds complicated, huh? I won’t discuss it here either, lol!

Back to the advantage of expired domain with Pagerank, some people tried to have it because lately it’s getting harder to achieve a good PR. Therefore, I tried to compile list of expired domain with Pagerank on it and sell it to you.

Expired domain with PR also can be used for Paid to Review (PTR) program. In one of my favourite PTR program, website with PR 2 was valued $5 per post review. And for website with PR 3, you can get $10 per post review. It was the minimum price actually, and it’s different for every PTR third party.
Even I could get $40 per review for PR 4 website, read here for my experience.
I’ll post some PTR list here later.

Also, with Pageranked domain, you can sell links to other website. There are many third party that you can join for this purpose, such Backlinks, TLA, etc. Monthly my income from selling links (not on this domain) is around $70-$100 per domain website.
Another advantage of expired domain with pagerank is that you can use it for parking domain business, but you must check it’s alexa rank before you decide to buy the domain.

Maybe some visitor here could add their own experience on using the pageranked domain for your website monetizing program. Feel free to share it here!
It’s better to develop an expired domain than a new one, yes, you know why! And don’t forget to buy expired domain with pagerank and make more money from internet. Good luck!

Make Directory on Wordpress

May 8, 2008

Picture of Directory of WordpressDone! Now my web tech directory is up. I will put some website link there that related to website development and technology sources. Off course you also can add your own website there, don’t forget the reciprocal link :)

This directory was build with the help of WP Link Directory plugin, that only works for Wordpress 2.05 or above. Also you need GD enabled in order to get the Captcha working for the verification.
Some features that listed for this plugin are:
1. Creation of link categories, sub-categories with descriptions
You can create any number of categories with description in the directory, including sub-categories.
2. Quick add of link from admin backend and visitor front-end
Your visitor will be able to click on this link “Insert your link here”, it will pop out a form below for submission. Clean and simple.
3. Search engine for admin to find link
You can search for a particular link based on its title, domain name, email address, etc, thus never have to worry about can’t find a link that you want to delete or edit.
4. Easy integration to your Wordpress theme
Now, this is one of the highlights of the plugin. You don’t have to worry about the template because this directory will use your Wordpress theme. You can easily modify styling using the external style sheet provided in the directory folder.
5. Backlink cleansing for checking reciprocal links
What it is, is enabling you to run a link cleansing process that checks each reciprocal links and see if the site is linking back to you as it promised. A list of broken links will be listed and you can either remove them or do something else.
6. Non-reciprocal link allowance
Another great great great thing of the script. There’s many time when we want to allow a link to have non-reciprocal link, eg. you might just start setting up the directory and you’d need to stuff some default links in it. Thus, you can simply check the tickbox of “Allow non reciprocal”, and then the link will not be checked when performing link cleansing check.
7. Email notification templates
Sure you want to be able to have a good email template system that manage communication for submitters and webmaster. Thus, this script allows you to set a custom email template system for link notification and approval.
8. SEO friendly url rewrite
Wow! What more do you want? SEO friendly URL rewrite feature, that re-writes all url to search engine friendly format. Note that this requires you to be running on an apache though.

Cool enough?? Go download the WP Link Directory plugin here

After the installation, you will need to modify some layout code to fit your Wordpress theme layout. Good luck!

Technorati Post Claim

April 29, 2008

Picture of Technorati logoDo you know that Technorati is the recognized authority on what’s happening on the World Live Web right now? That’s what they write about themselves here. According to Technorati data, there are over 175,000 new blogs (that’s just blogs) every day and they update their blogs regularly to the tune of over 1.6 million posts per day, or over 18 updates a second!
Bloggers publish and share their ideas, and millions more to read and respond. By blogging, people engage the writer and reader in an open conversation, and are shifting the Internet paradigm as we know it.

So what have Technorati done with that? When bloggers frequently link to and comment on other blogs and creating the type of immediate connection one would have in a conversation, Technorati tracks these links, and thus the relative relevance of blogs, photos, videos etc. They rapidly index tens of thousands of updates every hour, and so monitor these live communities and the conversations they foster.

Those technorati work, can be used as one of your way to promote your own blog by doing the tag and ping job, just like what I want to do now.
But first, you need to claim your blog on Technorati by creating a new post in your blog and include the html they provide.

Here’s the code that they provide me : Technorati Profile. This post will ping Technorati and clain that I won this blog, then technorati will start to crawl this blog.

We’ll see what’s next when I’ve posted this article!
